MODEL DESCRIPTION: This model of a carnassial tooth was generated using a custom True Basic program by inputting a 2-dimensional set of nodes at the model's base and two vertical 2-d sections of nodes at the ends of the model.
PROJECT: This model was created to investigate stresses within the enamel of the upper carnassial of the spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta).
ORGANISM: The spotted hyena is the largest living member of the family Hyaenidae (Order Carnivora) and is a common predator in Sub-Saharan Africa.
